GENERAL INFORMATION

The Pineywoods Fire Department formed in January of 1987. The department started out with one engine and a 40X80 fire building and a Class 9 ISO rating. Since then there has been another engine and also a pumper tanker, two more tankers, a rescue truck and a 4x4 brush fire truck. We applied for a Class 7 fire rating in 1993 and received it. We have applied for Class 6 ISO rating and have not received confirmation on it.
