The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children 
Failure to thrive
Death by homicide -purposeful or accidental. 63% of boys ages 11-20, who commit homicide murdered the man who was abusing his mother.
Heightened suicide attempts -increased thoughts of doing away with self and/or murdering parents. Prone to negligence and carelessness.
Psychological damage, low self-esteem and depression
Aggressive behavior towards parents, siblings and peers
Poor school adjustment
Running away
Early marriage
Alcohol/drug experimentation
